题目:Satellite remote sensing of sea ice for climate research and operational applications
摘要:Sea ice observations with satellite sensors from space have now been used since over 30 years for climate studies, weather prediction and operational ship routing. Contributions from the University of Bremen cover determination of sea ice concentration, multiyear ice concentration, thickness of thin sea ice, and snow grain size and melt ponds in summer. This information is determined from passive and active microwave and from optical sensors. The recent developments will be show together with the physical basis, and potential fields of cooperation will be suggested.
